So Mr. Mukesh from mumbai bought his childhood favourite car, shiny out of the showroom, he was quick to rake up kms on it.
Out on a long drive, he was rest assured that he had 5 years of warranty backing his beautiful new machine, or so he thought.
The tyre pressure sensor threw an error on the digital coloured LCD screen while he was at 50 kmph. The error read: Tyre pressure loss: 32 PSI Please drive to authorised service center.
Mukesh ji thought to himself, it is just air, why bother the technicians at the busy service center. He proceeded to stop at one of those fancy petrol pumps with nitrogen pumps and got the PSI back up. The rest of the drive went smoothly till the same digital LCD went out. It refused to start!
But not to worry, remember the 5 year extended warranty? Confident Mukesh smiled it off and took the car to the service center the following day.
Service advisior who was almost dozed off, walked up to the car while dragging his feet, connected a laptop to the weird port under steering and went:
SA: OMG, saar, you have invested so much money in the car, the warranty but you made such a cheap mistake???
Poor mukesh, a little confused, a little surprised(?) looked quietly till the advisor did some thingy on his laptop.
SA: Saar, you had a tyre pressure loss error 50 kms from city, and then it was cleared. which means you got the tyre filled outside the authorised service center. due to this, the car has been tampered with and the faulty screen will not be covered under warranty. The screen clearly said: please drive to authorised service center, why did you not???
Mukesh: but it is just Air??
SA: not company air, sorry cant help.
Are we surprised? not really. What was the owner thinking going all wild about it. Mukesh learnt his lesson the hard way, how will you?
